Desires are the second stage of life where, we exploring our mind and take care of ourselves .mentality.

Desires are home for our Dreams. You have to have desires for your dreams.
"When we human can take care of our Basic needs, then we can explore our "Desires" and find Purpose in life."

Desires are our emotions. Emotion is primary for survival, thinking is secondary, not only how to survival, thinking the best way to survive. Other wise we are not so different from animals. Life for Animals is so simple, just trying to survive. 
Desires are, what life is all about, our wishes, dreams and wants. Wishes, dreams and wants are the forces that give birth to Desires. 
The basic desires are universal. Being alive, healthy and active and capable of taking care of our Basic needs. Doing that, we all want to be Some body that make us feel good, Happy and trouble free, Free to enjoy life by doing great stuff. 
Desires, are between first and third stages of life:
Basic needs
Desires
Purpose
That means:
We over come the issues regarding our Basic needs, we are not struggling any more to survive, we are living a life with excitements.
Life is our "Desires", truly exploring and discovering our greatest potentials in life.
When, your dreams come through and you reach your desires, then, you will know your Purpose
In the 21st century our desires should be the center stage of our Society and everything we do in our everyday lives. Today, we have to look at desires as Human desire, not man or women desires. Whole Humanity so far lost great deal of its true potentials for better life, because of dividing ourselves every way we can from beginning, and now, we are right in the meddle of it. The question is, why?
Hidden desires
There are desires that are hidden and we are not exploring, or we do not speak of it, even when we reach our ultimate personal success in life.  
We as human beings are constantly dealing with inner and outer forces. Those forces are at work at all time: 
Inner forces, our desires or potentials
Outer forces, possibilities or opportunity. 
Simply means, those are the main forces of life, our action and reaction with others and environment that we are living. We as society must realize and understand, we have to work together to create opportunities for everyone in order to reach our own desires. Desires and opportunity must work together in society, as result, our potential will blossom to the fullest.

Today, having a desire doesn't means we are going to reach it. The fact is, to reach our desires we need helps and supports of others. Tell me, what desire do you have that have nothing to do with others and you can do it by yourself. The facts are, reason for not reaching your desires are because, others not reaching their desires.

1. Desires
Basic desires are universal and don't have no boundaries. It doesn't matter who you are, man or women, young or old, and where are you live on this planet of Earth. Our most basic desires are to:
Be some one, that make us feel good about ourselves what ever we do. 
Be truly happy, means we are trouble free, healthy and prosper. 
Be truly free, by understanding the meaning of the Freedom.
If that sound unrealistic, then, we don't know the true meaning of desires. We have to realize, our desires usually have to do with some one else in our personal and Social Lives, in the environment that we are living. Interesting part of life is, that we all want a good life for ourselves, but, we don't do the right things to make it happen for us. Why? we do have problems and can't reach our desires? The reason is because no one else can. We are fending for ourselves, and can't work together in order to make it possible for all of us.   
Desires are our imagination about life itself, Some how we can picture it in our mind, feel it in our heart, then we want to go after it. That action become our goal. When we have a goal, then we need a plan. Having a plan means, we are half way to reach our desires as our goal. The rest have to do with how determine we are to reach our goal and fulfill our desires:
Goal: we should be clear about, what our desires are.
Motivation: There must be a motive behind any goal that make us to go after our goal.
Determination: Make it possible To succeed and reach our goal of desire.
Note: we have to have this in mind, our first and last step toward, accomplishing our goal, are equally part of the whole process of reaching our desires. There is a proverb in Chinese: "For the thousand mile journey, you need to take the first step." 
Reaching our desires:
In order to reach our desires, we have to understand it and to make a changes. How can we change? 
2- Potential:God knows how many genius came and gone, because of lost potentials, or could not promote their talents. Lost potentials are human tragedy.
Potential is the core of all humanity.
Potential for our desires should be the center focus of our lives in the family and society. Where the family and society do recognize individuals potential. Where we have a opportunity to make our desires blossom every day in our society in a country that celebrate life achievement of it citizen, Just imagine. 
If only we could move our lives to Desires, the second stage of life, and not struggle for our basic needs, then we would have a different life. Living a life, vs. struggle.
We all have our story of how we missed our potentials. This is my story.
My sole concern, interest and effort doing this project “In search of Common goal” mainly started , because of, my lost potentials. I ask myself this question so many time, who would I be today if, I had a opportunity to reach my true potential? I have some ideas, who would I be. Today I could be a great pilot, Movie director, musician, writer, Archeologist, engineer or astronaut. Now, Most of my desires are a big dreams. "We will dream, when we can't reach our desires."My dream is to see the Earth from space.
My question always has been why, we are not able to explore our desires? I am sure that we all have potentials and capable of doing some thing great. What are lacking are opportunities because as society we don't promote desires. We know we were under-estimated when we were children, and now we do the same thing, under-estimate our children, ourselves and each other, there for underestimating the whole humanity.
Ability to do things comes naturally when you are expose to some thing that intrigue you , catches your eye, or spark in your mind that make you think. Then, you want to try and explore it. That is life, doing the things that you want to do. 
When I was younger, I knew, that I could do so many things and wanted to do them. Those feeling were the roots of my potentials, later would become my desires. The fact is, nobody noticed me. I am sure that happened to you and feel the same as I do. AS we all grow, our true desires and dreams are kept inside of us, because we can't reach it. We start doing other things that family and society tell us to do, there for we are not happy with what we are doing. later, we say to ourselves, If only I knew better, I wish somebody tolled me or showed me the way. 
3- Opportunity: 
In a society that, all Individuals have opportunity to reach their ultimate potentials are, the strength of that nation. 
In the land of opportunity why some are not having opportunity to reach their potentials, Is it because we were born wrong place, or, because our family and society could not provide the opportunity we needed to reach, our true potentials. It is because that way it is, we don't think about it, or we are too busy and are struggling for our basic needs just to survive. The symptom for not reaching our desires are, we human are not united and divided ourselves so many way, that, make it impossible to reach our true desires, and is getting harder to reach. for example: when we talk about family & society, we refer to them as others. With that attitude we automatically divide ourselves. Then we blame others for the things that are not working out for us. Interesting part is, at the same time, we are not doing any things for others. We have to realize that, when we talk about our true potentials, we should acknowledge everyone else's potentials, that way, we all can be discovered.
Today, we as a society should motivate ourselves to reach for better life. To make it our Social desires, and our Goal, that, all of us having opportunity to reach our desires and it's true potentials. Because is right thing to do. When we are determent, we deserve to have a wonderful life. Don't we?
When there is a will, there is a way.
